Mark Stephene Cook
Acrylic on Canvas
The influences of Lichtenstein, Dali, and Warhol cannot be denied in this Cook painting. One can only speculate that the hostility brought forth in this work stems from the overpriced King Dogs selling at the Dome, along with possible unresolved machismo-female issues from Friday nights date gone badly.

Artist’s Statement: “When I did this piece for a Leitag show at the Lava Lounge I thought it was pretty nifty, that was years ago. Now that I look at it, it IS bad art. When I asked Marlow about the show, this painting popped into her head immediately. Apparently this piece left a bit of a memory after all those years. That is, bad art with a lingering memory to boot.
